The second stop on our American Road Trip takes us to none other that the Grand Canyon! It was both of our first times visiting this extraordinary place. It is by far the most incredible sight we have experienced yet. It's bigger than your brain can conceive. We found a secluded picnic parking lot with no other cars. We packed on our gear and headed into the forest. After a decent hike full of intimidating tracks and droppings we made it to the edge. It was mind blowing! The sheer vastness of the Grand Canyon is enough to make you dizzy. We walked along the rim for a while checking out the terrain and epic views. Once we got to a spot that was flat and dry enough to settle we laid out our picnic and got comfortable. It was windy and cold and beautiful and SO exciting!
